Jessica Gath relegated a career as an artist to the land of make-believe while studying Chinese Language & Cultural Studies at Tufts University. She transitioned from being a casual maker-of-things to a professional artist in 2001 after a streak of early painting sales, several shouts from the universe, and a mention of her paintings by Jeff Goodby in a book published by Graphis*. Since then she has painted over 150 commissions.
Gath works in oils on stretched canvas or board.
Her paintings have been spotted at the deCordova Sculpture Park & Museum and Boston's 808 Gallery, in Cookie Magazine, Dwell, The San Francisco Chronicle, Boston Home, and American Artist. Her works hang in collections across the United States and Canada, in Europe, Hong Kong and the Bahamas.
Jessica Gath works from her studio in Philadelphia. To see the full range of her artwork please visit her studio website here.
